DELEGATES GET GLIMPSE OF NEW WAVE Delegates at the recent Franchise Supplier Showcase were given a glimpse of the future recently by leading edge internet company FranWeb. Director Paul Tansey spoke about the hot topic of social networking websites and their power if leveraged correctly by web savvy businesses. He also confirmed what most delegates already knew – that whilst social networking sites can be good for business, the whole area is moving so quickly that his team spend many hours per week just keeping up with new developments. Paul then went on to introduce delegates to the yet to be launched Google Wave, which he believes will revolutionise the way we communicate over the internet. FranWeb were one of a number of franchise suppliers who gave interesting presentations to the audience of franchisors seeking ways to enhance their businesses. The Franchise Supplier Showcase is an event designed to help busy franchisors meet a number of good suppliers in a single day who have developed an offering specifically for the franchise market. The Showcase continues to go from strength to strength and feedback from delegates means that at future events there will be a keynote speaker to give even more value to the day.
